Leading authorities in communication within healthcare

Our accomplished team at Oakley Partnership provide you with the talent and experience of hands-on health care professionals skilled in the art of communication. The Directors, Philippa and Rhiannon are experienced healthcare professionals, leading authorities in healthcare communication, internationally renowned speakers and have a specialised interest in LGBTQ+ healthcare inequalities. Not only do we work one-on-one with clinicians or teams, we have made our training as accessible as possible with our Confident Clinicians Academy where you can further your learning in communication and how to ensure your organisation is actively inclusive. Our mission is to stamp our healthcare inequalities for all. With our first-hand experience, we have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those within the field of healthcare and we have designed our programmes, courses and resources specifically with you in mind.

We have coached, trained and lectured both private and public health care professionals around the world and we’re excited to help you with your next step.

Communication is at the heart of every healthcare consultation

Let’s learn how to do it well

Start by browsing our online training courses to get an overview of what we can help you with. Whether you’re looking to refresh your bed-side manner, need help with time-management or goal-setting using coaching skills – we’ve got your back.

We are passionate about supporting practitioners to deliver the very best in person-centred care.

Our Story

When we started Oakley Coaching 5 years ago, we wanted to change the face of healthcare, by teaching communication skills to clinicians to support their patients in a new way. We knew that whilst we could make a small impact on patient care by working directly with patients ourselves, we could have a much bigger impact on the wider healthcare landscape teaching these skills to clinicians. Now we’ve expanded our services and are slowly rebranding into Oakley Partnership.

We knew that something had to be done to combat the challenge of disempowered patients, and overwhelmed practitioners, and we have always felt that effective communication is the hallmark of expert person-centred care and all that encompasses. With the support and enthusiasm of our family, friends, colleagues, institutions and professional organisations from around the world, we’re well on our way to achieving our goal, but there’s still so much to do.

From pivoting our multi-disciplinary chiropractic clinic in 2020 to creating a unique and inspiring online international education-focused Academy which is giving us a work-life balance we could previously only dream of- Philippa and I are living proof of how coaching can change your life.

We have spoken at the COPA Conference, the British Chiropractic Association autumn conference, and have have delivered lectures through the Royal College of Chiropractors, and the global Evidence-Based Chiropractic Network. During COVID we began this adventure delivering accredited CPD webinars and sending out over 200 hours of CPD certificates for free.

Since then we launched our Confident Clinicians Academy, spoken at the WFC and the BCA, developed a series of undergraduate lectures for WIOC, worked with various NHS trusts and CCGs and spoken to the members of CASA: Chiropractic Association of South Africa and have our courses approved by the CCA and CASA.

We are proud to work with all clinicians and organisations that put their patients first, and are proud to be proactive, performance-driven coaches who can assist your team at all levels.
